Anthropology bridges the arts, humanities, life and social sciences, and offers unique perspectives on issues of universal concern such as ‘human nature’, gender and sexuality, health, nutrition, indigenous rights, globalisation, multiculturalism and development. It has a key role to play in the education of globally informed citizens, as well as practical applications in areas such as government, medicine, tourism, international aid and law.

Anthropology deserves to be widely studied and supported by private- and public-sector donors and sponsors, and by individual benefactors and testators interested in promoting a global understanding of human life.

The RAI, as the United Kingdom’s national organisation covering the entire field of anthropology, is well placed to raise funds for, and be a conduit of support to, the discipline. We welcome all support, large or small, in the form of sponsorship, donations in cash or kind, and bequests.
