We are seeking a lecturer to join the Anthropology programme and to enhance our focus on Pacific Anthropology. The successful candidate will have undertaken ethnographic fieldwork and will have expertise in one or more of the following areas of anthropology: ethnicity and identity, medical anthropology, the ethnography of science and technology, art, aesthetics and performance.

You will be suitably qualified with a PhD in Anthropology and have an emerging track record of high quality research outputs and the potential to attract external research funding. You will be committed to the development of research and graduate and postgraduate papers as well as teaching at all levels, including the supervision of masters and doctoral students.

The successful candidate will join an active, motivated team of academics.

Salary range for Lecturers is NZ$75,514 to $90,946 per year, and will be based on skills, qualifications and experience.
