Annual – Deadline 31 March – Prize £1000
This Award recognises an outstanding individual based outside academia, one who has shown how to apply anthropology or anthropological ideas to the better understanding of the world’s problems. The award is run in partnership with the Marsh Charitable Trust.
Nominations and judging
- All Fellows of the RAI will be able to make nominations.
- Nominations should be received by 31 March.
- Nominations should be accompanied by a description of about 300 words stating why the individual is suitable for the award.
- Nominations should be sent to admin@therai.org.uk.
Presentation
The Presentation will take place at the RAI AGM. The winner will be announced and presented with their Award at this event, alongside the other Awards and Medals. If the winner cannot attend the presentation, they will be sent the Award or have it picked up by someone else on their behalf.
Award
- The winner of the Award will receive a cheque in the sum of £1000, made out directly to them, and a signed certificate.
- The first Award was presented in September 2014.
- The Award will be held annually.
