About the Role

We are seeking a volunteer to assist with the administration involved in matching book reviewers to the latest titles in anthropology, as part of the Book Reviews section of the Journal of the Royal Anthropological Institute.This role is administrative and would involve sourcing the names and contact details of individuals in Anthropology (and closely-related) fields who would be suitable reviewers for the c.30-50 books that the RAI receives per month. It is possible that the person in this role may also be asked to assist with other administrative tasks relating to co-ordinating book review invites.

Key Responsibilities

With guidance and supervision, the volunteer will:

  • Sourcing the names and contact details of individuals in Anthropology (and closely-related) fields who would be suitable reviewers for the c.30-50 books
  • It is possible that the person in this role may also be asked to assist with other administrative tasks relating to the book review database.

    Essential: 

    • Personal access to a computer
    • Degree (or studying for a degree) in Anthropology
