The high rate of unemployment in Catalonia and the persistent precariousness of the labour market for young people has led many young Catalan people to think about leaving their country and live abroad. In addition as globalisation has reduced boundaries between countries and expanded horizons of companies and workers, international experience is becoming increasingly necessary for finding employment. This research explores the stories of 46 Catalan young people between 18 and 35 years old who migrated to London while searching their international experience. The research is focused on their motivations to leave Catalonia, what they found in London, their identities after the migration process and their future expectations.
