The Royal Anthropological Institute (RAI) is seeking a Marketing & Social Media Intern to support the promotion of our events, film festival, and online courses.
This paid, part-time internship is designed to provide structured learning and practical experience in marketing and social media within a cultural and academic organisation. It would suit an anthropology student or recent graduate with existing experience using social media, who is able to work from our London office.
Key duties include:
- Supporting social media content creation, scheduling, and engagement
- Assisting with content planning and maintaining a content calendar
- Contributing ideas to social media strategy and audience growth
- Creating simple graphics and short videos (Canva or similar)
- Supporting event and course marketing and general admin
Essential:
- Experience managing or contributing to social media accounts
- Experience scheduling posts and planning content in advance
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Interest in anthropology, culture, or public engagement
Desirable:
- Anthropology student or graduate
- Experience with Canva and basic video editing
- Interest in marketing, communications, or events
